Sweet Paws Pet Care (referred to as “Sweet Paws”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides in-home pet care services, including but not limited to cat sitting, overnight stays, and related pet wellness visits. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our services, bookings, and interactions with our sitters. By booking a reservation, attending a Meet & Greet, or otherwise using our services, you (“Client”, “you”, “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.1 A Meet & Greet is strongly encouraged prior to the first reservation. During the Meet & Greet, we will assess the home environment, review care instructions, and introduce our sitter to your cat(s). Sweet Paws reserves the right to decline service or cancel any reservation if the home does not meet satisfactory cleanliness, safety, comfort, or wellness standards as outlined in our Home Environment Policy.
1.2 By proceeding with a reservation, you confirm that all information provided about your pet(s), home, and any potential hazards is accurate and complete.
2.1 Sweet Paws reserves the right to limit the time spent in a home or cancel a reservation if a home does not meet satisfactory cleanliness, safety, comfort or wellness standards. These cancellations may occur after a Meet & Greet or during an in-progress reservation if Sweet Paws feels their health or safety could be adversely affected by being in your home, or if they do not feel comfortable with the condition that the cat(s) may be in.
2.2 Examples of conditions that may lead to cancellation or modified service include, but are not limited to:
2.3 If your home is unfit for service or if Sweet Paws believes to have encountered an instance of animal cruelty, Sweet Paws may alter the visit duration to stay only as long as it takes to complete the critical care tasks (feeding, water refresh, medications, litter box scooping) or cancel the reservation altogether. We reserve the right to restrict your access to the platform and refuse future bookings.
3.1 Cancellation within 24 hours of booking: Customers may cancel within 24 hours of booking a reservation for a 100% refund, as long as the reservation has not yet begun.
3.2 Cancellation more than 48 hours before the start date: If you cancel more than 48 hours before the reservation start date, you’ll receive a 100% refund.
3.3 Cancellation between 24-48 hours before the start date: Customers will receive a 50% refund, and Sweet Paws Pet Care will receive 50% of the planned earnings.
3.4 Cancellation within 24 hours of the start date: No refund will be issued for cancellations within 24 hours of the start date. Sweet Paws Pet Care will keep 100% of the planned earnings.
3.5 All cancellation timing is based on the sitter’s time zone. The start date is defined as 12:00 AM on the first day of the reservation.
3.6 Refunds: Refunds are issued as credits to your Time to Pet account balance. Credits never expire and are non-transferable.
3.7 Cancellation by Sweet Paws: If Sweet Paws cancels a reservation due to an unfit home environment, safety concerns, aggressive pets, or violation of these Terms, you may receive a partial or no refund at our discretion, depending on the circumstances. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you as soon as possible.
4.1 You agree to provide a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our sitters, consistent with the Home Environment standards above.
4.2 You must disclose any aggressive behavior, medical conditions, special needs, or any history of biting or scratching by your cat(s) prior to booking.
4.3 You are responsible for providing accurate entry instructions (keys, lockbox codes, garage openers, etc.) and ensuring the sitter can access the home at the scheduled times.

4.4 You agree to maintain adequate supplies (litter, food, medications) for the duration of the reservation. Sweet Paws is not responsible for purchasing supplies unless previously agreed upon.
4.5 You must notify Sweet Paws immediately of any changes to your cat’s health, behavior, or home conditions (e.g., pest infestation, illness, construction hazards).
5.1 In the event of a medical emergency involving your cat, Sweet Paws will make reasonable efforts to contact you or your designated emergency contact. If we cannot reach you, we authorize necessary veterinary care at your expense.
5.2 You agree to provide current veterinary contact information and pre-authorize treatment up to a specified amount (to be discussed during booking). You are solely responsible for all veterinary costs.
5.3 Sweet Paws is not liable for injury, illness, or death of a pet resulting from pre-existing conditions, unforeseen medical events, or the pet’s own actions, provided we have acted with reasonable care.
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sweet Paws Pet Care shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or emotional distress, arising from or related to our services.
6.2 You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sweet Paws, its employees, sitters, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your cat’s aggressive or destructive behavior, (c) any inaccurate information provided by you, or (d) your home’s unsafe or unsanitary conditions.
6.3 Sweet Paws carries general liability insurance, but you are strongly encouraged to maintain your own renter’s or homeowner’s insurance that covers pet sitting visits and property damage.
If Sweet Paws observes signs of animal cruelty, abuse, neglect, or severe health concerns regarding your cat(s), we reserve the right to report such observations to local animal control or law enforcement authorities. Any reservation may be immediately canceled without refund in such cases.
Sweet Paws reserves the right to restrict or terminate your access to our booking platform (including Time to Pet) at any time, with or without notice, for violation of these Terms, providing false information, unsafe home conditions, abusive behavior toward sitters, or any other conduct that we deem harmful to our business, staff, or other clients.
We collect personal information (name, address, contact details, pet information) solely to provide our services. We do not sell your data. We may share necessary information with our sitters to perform the reservation. For more details, see our Privacy Policy (available upon request).
10.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the state where Sweet Paws Pet Care operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10.2 Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Home Environment Policy and Cancellation Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sweet Paws regarding our services.
10.3 Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
10.4 Force Majeure: Sweet Paws shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, or power outages.

By booking a reservation with Sweet Paws Pet Care, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service, including the Home Environment and Cancellation policies referenced herein.
